The RAM-B-316-1-AP8U is a single leg pod mount with a high strength composite cradle designed for the following devices (WITHOUT a bumper cover, case or skin):
  • Apple iPad 1st Generation
  • Apple iPad 2 
  • Apple iPad 3 / iPad HD
  • Apple iPad 4
  • HP TouchPad 1st Generation

NOTE: The RAM-316-1-AP8U is also available and recommended. The RAM-316-1-AP8U has a 1.5 inch socket system versus the 1.0 inch socket system found in the RAM-B-316-1-AP8U. The 1.5 inch socket system has a higher weight rating (10 lbs versus 5 lbs) and provides extra durability for a minimal price difference.

RAM-B-316-1-AP8U Includes the Following:
  • Warranty: Manufacturer's, RAM Mounts (National Products Inc.), Limited Life Time Warranty.
  • Base Description: Includes the RAM-B-316-1-202U. The length of the leg measures 18 inches long when measured at a right angle to the base of the foot. The flexible 18 inch long leg has a foot with a mounting hole. Simply place the hole into the passenger seat mounting bolt and adjust the mount to the required height with the flexible leg. The rigid flexible arm will hold everything you need safely and securely. The latest in the Mobile In-Car range from RAM. Click on the product link for additional information.
  • Socket Size: RAM "B" sized 1.0 inch ball socket system.
    • NOTE: The RAM-316-1-AP8U is available. The RAM-316-1-AP8U has a 1.5 inch socket system versus the 1.0 inch socket system found on the RAM-B-316-1-AP8U. The 1.5 inch socket system has a higher weight rating (10 lbs versus 5 lbs) and provides extra durability for a minimal price difference.
  • Cradle Description: Includes the RAM-HOL-AP8U.
    • Cradle Material: Black high strength composite.
    • Cradle Hole Pattern: The back of the cradle has four pre-drilled holes compatible with the AMPS hole pattern (1.912 inches from center hole to center hole).
    • Cradle Detailed Description: Place the top of the device into the cradle, and then push the base into the expandable arms at the bottom of the cradle. The arms will then snap into place when the electronic device is completely secured in the cradle. The cradle allows all cables (NOT INCLUDED) to stay connected and all buttons/ports remain accessible.
    • Cradle Hardware: Includes a set of nuts and bolts to connect to the RAM-B-202U round adapter plate included in the RAM-B-316-1-202U.
