Description

The RAM-B-149Z-AP3U is a marine grade aluminum motorcycle handlebar or rail mount with zinc coated u-bolt base and 1st generation non 3G Apple iPhone cradle. Please look at the RAM-B-149Z-AP6U for the 2nd generation 3G iPhone.

RAM-B-149Z-AP3U Includes the Following:

Base: RAM-B-231ZU black powder coated motorcycle handlebar or universal rail base with zinc coated u-bolt for .5 inch to 1.25 inch diameter rail. For a stainless steel u-bolt please see the RAM-B-149U. See RAM-B-231ZU description below for additional u-bolt options.

Arm: RAM-B-201U standard length arm for 1 inch balls. The arm measures 3 inches between socket centers. Black powder coated marine grade aluminum with plastic twist knob. A shorter arm, 1.75 inches from socket center to socket center, is available. Please see the RAM-B-201U-A.

Adapter: RAM-B-238U black powder coated marine grade aluminum universal diamond plate. Two holes measuring 1.9 inches from center to center.

Cradle: RAM-HOL-AP3U 1st generation non 3G Apple iPhone. Please look at the RAM-B-149Z-AP6U for the 2nd generation 3G iPhone.

RAM-B-231ZU Description: Black powder coated motorcycle handlebar or universal rail base with zinc coated u-bolt for .5 inch to 1.25 inch diameter rail. A plastic adapter the RAP-319 is included to accommodate rail diameters to .5 inch.

RAM-B-231ZU Options: The RAM-B-231 series is available in CHROME RAM-B-231CHU (see picture below). Two optional stainless steel u-bolts are available: RAM-SU2512U to accommodate 1.0 inch to 1.25 inch rail diameter, and the RAM-HAR-SU251 to accommodate up to 1.0 inch rail diameter.

RAM-B-201U Description: Standard length powder coated marine grade aluminum dual socket arm that measures 3.0 inches long from socket center to socket center and 3.69 inches in total length. This arm allows a 1 inch diameter ball accessory to be connected at either end. A tightening knob on the side of the arm enables the sockets to clamp firmly to the attached accessories. The arm allows for easy adjustment by loosening the side knob, a single spring inside the arm opens the sockets, allowing the arm to pivot on the attached accessory. This enables the arm and accessories to be positioned at various angles allowing the ultimate in position flexibility. Loosen the knob completely and the arm will disconnect from the accessories.

RAM-B-238U Description: The universal diamond plate is a powder coated marine grade aluminum plate that measures 1.25 inches * 2.5 inches. This diamond plate connects to a 1 inch diameter rubber ball. The diamond plate has two holes positioned 1.9 inches from center to center. The hole pattern found on the diamond plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts (including RAM holders RAM-HOL-xxxx) and including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern.

RAM-HOL-AP3U Description: High strength plastic cradle is designed to hold the Apple iPhone series (1st Generation Non 3G). The cradle has a cut away at the bottom to allow the connection of all required cables. The cradle also enables full access to the volume and mute button on the side along with the power button and headphones jack at the top of the iPhone.

Security and Portability Options:

The RAP-326 quick release adapter allows the cradle to be easily removed if sharing the electronic device between applications (i.e. motorcycle to automobile). The RAM-KNOB-3LU is a popular option. A keyed twist lock knob replaces the twist knob on the RAM-B-201 series arm.

Screen Magnification Options:

The RAM-MAG-1U is a screen magnifier that is 2 inches by 4 inches with a 2x zoom.

Waterproof Aqua Boxes and Cup Holder Options:

Optional RAP-326 quick release adapter shown above includes RAP-326FU female and RAP-326MU male adapters. The quick release allows the electronic device to stay attached in the cradle while quickly being disconnected from the RAM-B-238U and then re-attached to another mounting application using a RAM-B-238U (i.e. motorcycle Garmin GPS device moved to automobile suction cup mount) without tools or disassembly! Requires RAP-326MU male adapter for the second application being attached to. The RAP-326FU mates to the RAP-326MU and the RAP-326MU mates to the RAM-B_238U.

Optional self leveling cup holder is also available in either a complete set RAM-B-132-RU as shown above or as a individual item RAM-B-132BU.

Optional RAM-B-309-8U comes with two mounting balls shown above. This allows two mounting points where a GPS device and cup holder can be mounted from. A cup holder can be added to the RAM-B-309-8U by adding the RAM-B-201U or RAM-B-201U-A arm, and the RAM-B-132BU cup holder.
